I’m Ruth, and I love cooking. One of these days, I plan to be a restaurateur. Believing the mandate of God’s word, the Holy Bible, I am one with Christians all around the world in the acknowledgment that only God satisfies. When I read my Bible in the morning, I know I am fed with bread that will cause me not to go hungry again, and with water that will never run dry. God really intended us to be dependent on Him in this way.
As early in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 8: 2-3), it was written:
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
also in Matthew 4:4:
But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
and Luke 4:4:
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Find your place in the table, and sit with the Master everyday! Let us continue to do the will of our Heavenly Father who loves us and who calls us by name. If you haven’t done this in a long time, be assured that God misses you when He looks at that empty chair…
